"Being here at Transitional Housing Enterprises has given me the opportunity to transition back into society from prison without the hindrance I'm normally faced with. I had goals when I was released from prison. Being here allowed me to accomplish those goals by being able to focus on getting myself together. I wasn't released right back into the chaos of my previous life where I probably wouldn't have had a chance at success. While you're expected to go out and get it on your own, they provided a stepping stone, gave guidance, and had rules & expectations. Being able to accomplish my goals and stay sober while I was here has given me the confidence to continue doing so when I leave because I know now that I can do it."

"When I came to Transitional Housing Enterprises, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I had lost direction, stability, and most of all, hope. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I couldn't keep living the way I had been. What I found here wasn't just roof over my head - it was a turning point.
The structure, support, and accountability gave me what I'd missing for years. It wasn't always easy. There were tough days. hard conversations, and moments when I doubted myself. But the staff never gave up on me, even when I wanted to give up on myself. They pushed me to stay consistent, to show up, and to take responsibility for future. More than anything, Transitional Housing Enterprises, gave me space to breathe and rebuild. I learned how to manage my time, set goals, and follow through. I got connected with resources, found work, and started putting my life back together piece by piece. For the first time in a long time, I started to believe I could build something better. I'm not the same person who walked through those doors. Transitional Housing didn't fix my life for me- they gave me the tools, the encouragement, and the space to do it myself. And for that I'll always be grateful. I can truly say that God definitely blessed me in my coming and going."
